1. Who is responsible
Lev Tarkhanov, independent designer and developer, Vaud, Switzerland.
For any question about your data: lev.tarkhanov@gmail.com.
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. The short version
I collect only what I need to answer you, prepare an offer and do the work. I don’t sell or share your data for advertising. There is no analytics, no tracking and no marketing cookies on this site.
3. What I collect
a) Contact form
Your name, your email address, the topic you pick and your message.
b) Project Briefs
If you fill in a Brief (website, brand identity or AI automation), I also receive your answers: for example your company name, role and industry, a description of your business, customers and competitors, the tools you use, your design preferences, the tasks you would like to automate, an indicative budget and timing, your acceptance of the Free Preview Terms where applicable, and whether you agree to be contacted again later. Please don’t enter sensitive data (Art. 5 let. c FADP) or confidential third-party information in free-text fields.
c) Technical data
When you visit the website, the server records technical data such as IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested and browser type. This is used only for security and stability.
4. Why, and on what basis
- To reply to you and prepare an offer: pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest.
- To carry out a project: performance of the contract.
- To contact you again later about your project or related services: only if you ticked the box agreeing to it (consent). You can say no at any time by replying to any of my emails.
- Security, abuse prevention and server logs: legitimate interest.
- Legal and accounting obligations: legal obligation.
No automated decisions with legal effect are made about you.
5. Where your data goes
- Hosting: the website runs on a server operated by Contabo GmbH in its data centre in the European Union.
- Email: form submissions are delivered by email through Google (Gmail), Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. Google may process data in the United States; the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the FADP and GDPR (adequacy decisions / Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses).
- AI and automation services: only within a project, and only where needed. I tell you which services are used and where data travels before a project starts.
6. How long it’s kept
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last exchange.
- Client and contract data: for the duration of the project, then 10 years as required by Swiss law (Art. 958f CO).
- Server logs: up to 12 months.
7. Your browser
The Brief pages save your answers in your browser’s local storage so you can continue later. They stay on your device until you send the Brief, and are then deleted. You can clear them at any time with “Clear my answers” on the Brief’s first screen.
8. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to lev.tarkhanov@gmail.com - I reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where the GDPR applies, your local supervisory authority.
9. Changes
This policy may change when the services or the law change. The version published on straightegist.com on the day of your visit applies.
